Lent Appeal 2017
Healing Syria’s Wounds
We are supporting the work of Medicins sans Frontieres (MSF) among refugees in Syria and the surrounding countries of Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. Though there are fragile signs of peace, the plight of those who have left their homes is still severe and medical care is essential for those in camps or trying to return home.
MSF is one of the most respected and effective medical organisations in the world with a reputation for going where others hold back. It’s not able to work in government controlled areas or those held by Islamic State, but it is assisting local medical networks. Go to http://www.msf.org.uk/country/syria for more details.
If you are able to donate please put cash, or cheques made payable to St Mark’s Parish Church, in this envelope. Please gift aid if you are able. Put the envelope in the collection or give to the vicar, Jane, or a warden, or John Richardson, by Easter Day. Further information from John 07505 426876 or johnrichardson891@btinternet.com
