Nativity 2017
At 10:45 on 17th December we held our first Scratch Nativity. All members of the congregation were invited to come dressed as a character from the Nativity, although mostly only the children took up this invitation. The Pathfinders (8-10 years) read from Isaiah and narrated the story for us. As part of the narration they provided instructions for the characters to come and join in at the appropriate moments in the story. We sang carols, and two less traditional songs, along the way. The Travellers (11 years and up) helped with a Powerpoint presentation showing the words for the carols. It was a chaotic, but joyful way to begin our Christmas celebrations.
