A Taizé service – What is that?

I’d never heard of Taizé, but as a fairly new member of St. Mark’s I was eager to experience all the church had to offer. And what an experience! The atmosphere of calm and serenity during the times of silence; the encouragement and hope of the words of scripture and prayer; and the uplifting power of the chants as we joined with the choir in praise and petition. Altogether a wonderful opportunity to “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
